A custodial agreement with the four member soil and water conservation districts (Lamar SWCD, Pine Mountain SWCD, Roosevelt SWCD and Towaliga SWCD) make nine no-till units available for rent by local farmers and cattlemen in the Two Rivers Council area. Wildlife enthusiasts have also found the program to be very beneficial to wildlife when establishing food plots on transmission rights-of-way and other open areas needing habitat improvement. However, these drills are not designed for small, isolated food plot use. To date, the Two Rivers No-Till Drill Program has served more than 12,200 Georgians who collectively planted over 205,000 acres the no-till way. The success and continuing need for the program can be measured by its longevity which now stretches into its 22nd year of operation.

Developed for rough terrain, the TigerCat is a fuel-efficient mulching machine strong enough to reduce huge volumes of trees and brush into environmentally desirable mulch. The unit uses an 8 ft. wide, high-speed rotary cutting head to grind brush and trees up to 18 inches in diameter leaving a protective layer of nutrient-rich biomass in its path. Its wide tracks make a soft “footprint” protecting soil structure even in damp conditions or uneven terrain.
Whether you’re clearing land for a new home or just need firebreaks to protect your existing home or property, do it without the liabilities of sediment and smoke. The TigerCat Service is now available through a cooperative agreement with JPV International. Please contact the office at tworiversrcd@hotmail.com or 706-885-0101 for more details.
